Ingredients

Rotisserie chicken caesar salad
  • 3 cup rotisserie chicken
  • 2 heads romaine lettuce
  • 1 cup Caesar dressing
  • 1 cup shaved parmesan cheese
  • 1.5 cup croutons
  • 1 fresh cracked black pepper to taste

Method

Prepare the salad
  1. Chop the romaine lettuce and place it in a large salad bowl with crisp, bite-size pieces visible.
  2. Add the shredded rotisserie chicken on top so the chicken forms an even layer over the romaine.
Dress and finish
  1. Drizzle the Caesar dressing over the salad and toss until the romaine is evenly coated and looks glossy.
  2. Top with shaved parmesan cheese and croutons, distributing them across the surface so every serving has crunch.
  3. Finish with a few cracks of fresh black pepper to lightly speckle the top.
  4. Serve immediately for the best crunch so the croutons stay crisp.

Notes

For best texture, chop romaine right before assembling and toss just until coated; if you want to prep ahead, store dressing and croutons separately so they don’t soften. Refrigerate leftovers in an airtight container for up to 2 days; the salad may lose some crunch after sitting. Freezing isn’t recommended. For a lighter option, use reduced-fat Caesar dressing and slightly less parmesan.
