Ingredients
Method
Prepare the salad
- Chop the romaine lettuce and place it in a large salad bowl with crisp, bite-size pieces visible.
- Add the shredded rotisserie chicken on top so the chicken forms an even layer over the romaine.
Dress and finish
- Drizzle the Caesar dressing over the salad and toss until the romaine is evenly coated and looks glossy.
- Top with shaved parmesan cheese and croutons, distributing them across the surface so every serving has crunch.
- Finish with a few cracks of fresh black pepper to lightly speckle the top.
- Serve immediately for the best crunch so the croutons stay crisp.
Notes
For best texture, chop romaine right before assembling and toss just until coated; if you want to prep ahead, store dressing and croutons separately so they don’t soften. Refrigerate leftovers in an airtight container for up to 2 days; the salad may lose some crunch after sitting. Freezing isn’t recommended. For a lighter option, use reduced-fat Caesar dressing and slightly less parmesan.
