Ingredients
  

Cucumber
  • 4 cup cucumber, sliced sliced thin or bite-size for maximum crunch
Lime and Seasoning
  • 2 tbsp lime juice use fresh for best tang
  • 1 tsp chili powder adjust to taste for more heat
  • 0.25 salt (pinch) season lightly; add more if needed
  • 0.25 cup fresh cilantro, chopped chopped for bright, fresh flavor
  • 0.01 Tajín (optional) garnish only; add at the end

Method
 

Toss the cucumbers
  1. Add the sliced cucumbers to a large bowl.
  2. Drizzle the cucumbers with lime juice and sprinkle with chili powder and the pinch of salt.
  3. Toss until every cucumber piece is evenly coated, using quick folding motions to keep them crisp.
Finish and serve
  1. Sprinkle the chopped cilantro over the top and toss once more to distribute.
  2. Finish with a dusting of Tajín if using.
  3. Serve immediately, chilled, for the best crunch.

Notes

Pro tip: slice cucumbers uniformly so they toss evenly and stay crunchy. Refrigerate in an airtight container for up to 1 day; it may soften slightly after chilling. Freezing isn’t recommended. For a dairy-free and gluten-free version, keep Tajín garnish as-is (it’s typically both) or choose a labeled gluten-free brand if needed.
