Method
Brew the coffee
- Brew the espresso (or strong brewed coffee) and set it aside.
- Keep the coffee at the ready so you can pour it into the mug right after steaming the milk.
Make the honey-cinnamon milk
- Heat the milk in a small saucepan over medium heat until steaming, but not boiling, about 5-7 minutes.
- Whisk in the honey, brown sugar, vanilla extract, and ground cinnamon until fully dissolved, about 30-60 seconds.
- Froth the milk with a milk frother or whisk vigorously until you see a light foam, about 30-60 seconds.
Assemble and serve
- Pour the espresso into a mug, then top with the warm frothy milk.
- Add a dollop of whipped cream and dust with extra cinnamon before serving.
Notes
For the best foam, heat the milk until it’s steaming and just under boiling (don’t let it bubble). Store leftover latte in the fridge up to 2 days, but note the foam may fade; reheat gently and re-froth if desired. Freezing is not recommended for the texture. If you want a lighter option, use unsweetened almond or oat milk and keep the honey amount the same for a similar flavor.
